(AGSL Technology Consulting) is a Regina-based IT consulting and professional services company supporting public-sector, Crown corporation and enterprise organizations across Saskatchewan and Canada. Our capabilities include IT Staff Augmentation, Cybersecurity, Cloud & Infrastructure, Digital Transformation, Business Analysis, Project Management, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture and Technology Advisory Services. AGSL is currently seeking an experienced Network Analyst for a contract assignment supporting a large Saskatchewan Crown corporation operating a complex enterprise and critical-infrastructure technology environment.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will join an established Enterprise Networks team supporting the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, implementation and ongoing development of enterprise network infrastructure.

The role will provide hands-on support for LAN/WAN infrastructure across corporate and SCADA environments, while also contributing to network architecture, security, planning, modernization and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.

This position requires a strong combination of enterprise networking, network security, data-centre networking and cloud networking experience.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Administer, implement, troubleshoot and document enterprise LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
  • Support corporate and SCADA network environments.
  • Provide expert-level administration and engineering support for enterprise network devices.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance, availability and reliability.
  • Contribute to network architecture, design, planning and technology modernization.
  • Support network disaster recovery planning, implementation and testing.
  • Implement network updates in accordance with established security and change-management practices.
  • Work collaboratively across infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud and other technology teams.
  • Maintain effective technical documentation, change controls and problem-management processes.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of five years of recent hands-on network administration and network design/architecture experience.
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's Licence or equivalent.
  • Be available to work full-time onsite in Regina, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Be available for travel within Saskatchewan, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Participate in a rotational one-week on-call schedule.
  • Be available for an in-person interview in Regina if shortlisted.

Preferred Technical Experience

Strong candidates will demonstrate hands-on experience with technologies and environments including:

Data Centre & Routing: Spine-and-Leaf architecture, VXLAN, BGP EVPN, BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
Cisco: Cisco routers and switches, IOS, IOS-XE and NX-OS.
Fortinet: Firewalls, switches, access points, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiNAC.
Microsoft Azure: Virtual Networks, VNet Peering, Route Tables, Azure Front Door, Web Application Firewall and Network Security Groups.
Additional Technologies: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, load balancers, Web Application Firewalls, LTE and satellite communications.
Experience with SCADA networks, critical infrastructure, utilities, oil & gas transmission, ITIL, Change Management, Saskatchewan Crown corporations or other regulated enterprise environments will be considered an asset.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced networking professional who combines strong operational capability with enterprise network design and architecture experience.

You should possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, a practical understanding of network-security best practices, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary technology teams.

Experience integrating on-premises and cloud environments and supporting business-critical infrastructure will be particularly relevant.

Compensation

  • Market competitive contract rates.
  • Incorporation and independent contractor arrangements may be considered.
  • Final engagement terms will reflect the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience and applicable client requirements.
